Biochemistry and Endocrinology

We aim to generate, validate and report results on the day of receipt of the sample for general biochemistry/endocrinology for tests performed in-house.

Please contact us to discuss cases or for advice on sample collection and submission.

The biochemistry laboratory participates in the national quality assurance scheme (RIQAS) to ensure the ongoing reliability and quality of results.
The experienced technical staff and clinical pathologists aim to generate, validate and report results for routine tests on the same day or next working day if a late submission.

The laboratory offers a wide range of biochemical testing in serum, plasma, urine and other fluids from companion, equine, farm and exotic animals.

Routine urinalysis includes USG, pH, dipstick (we report a 4-parameter screen), microscopic sediment examination, with clinical pathologist cytology reporting also available on request and UPC ratio.
If we are not able to run a test internally, we will find another suitable laboratory to refer your sample on and on request provide appropriate guidance to interpretation using our experienced clinical pathology team.
