At Langford Vets, we are passionate about promoting career-long learning to enable veterinary professionals to excel in their careers. For experienced veterinarians, such as those working towards or already possessing a certificate, we offer the opportunity to join our special interest groups in specific subject areas.

Benefits of Joining Our Special Interest Groups:

  • Biannual Meetings – attend meetings to learn about the latest techniques and knowledge from our specialists in addition to networking with peers and the opportunity to discuss your own cases with the group.
  • Case Follow-Through – follow cases that you have referred into the Small Animal Referral Hospital through their investigations, treatments and any surgical procedures including the opportunity to discuss the case directly with one of our specialists.
  • Clinical Research – participate in clinical research projects by recruiting cases for multi-centre research studies.

We currently have special interest groups in the following subject areas:

  • Anaesthesia and analgesia
  • Cardiology
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Canine internal medicine
  • Feline internal medicine
  • Neurology
  • Orthopaedic surgery
  • Soft tissue surgery

Residency Programmes

If you are interested in specialising, our residency programmes are the ultimate training positions. Over a period of three to four years you will be equipped with the practical skills, knowledge and other requirements needed to sit the qualifying exams for the specialist college of your choice. We currently offer residency positions in small animal anaesthesia, behaviour, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, feline medicine, neurology and small animal surgery. All of our residency positions will be advertised on our website.
