Langford Academy Launches Exclusive Interest Groups for Experienced Vets to Foster Career Growth and Collaboration
The Langford Academy is dedicated to promoting career-long learning, offering veterinary professionals the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge alongside specialists in a collaborative environment. For experienced veterinarians, including those pursuing or already holding certificate level qualifications, Langford Academy is launching exclusive Interest Groups in specific disciplines.
Building on the success of their Recent Graduate Programme, which now boasts over 250 members, these interest groups will provide easier access to Langford Vets' specialist clinicians. The initiative is designed to foster professional growth through community, allowing vets to expand their expertise with guidance from leaders in their fields.

The launch of our interest groups is an exciting time for the Langford Academy and builds upon our successful Recent Graduate Programme. At Langford Vets, our clinicians provide outstanding care and are also dedicated to learning and sharing our knowledge with other practitioners. Our interest groups will allow experienced vets to join the Langford community through high-quality onsite multidisciplinary CPD by a range of specialists, as well as being a source of knowledge to help with challenging cases.
Special interest groups are available in the following subject areas:

- Chronic Pain and Rehabilitation
- Diagnostic Imaging
- General Medicine
- Neurology and Neurosurgery
- Orthopaedic
- Surgery Soft Tissue Surgery
The first interest group meeting is scheduled for February 2025. This will be a full-day CPD event, including lectures, case discussions, practical workshops, networking opportunities and the chance to bring challenging cases for discussion.
As the only referral hospital in the Southwest of England that has an educational facility Langford Vets is uniquely placed to offer this exceptional level of career support and is already making plans to expand on the provision we are offering.
