We are committed to providing your pet with tailored treatments ensuring that their quality of life is at the forefront of our care when treating cancer in dogs and cats.   

With access to a range of specialists in small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, critical care, clinical pathology, and with 24 hour veterinary support, Langford Vets offers a comprehensive Oncology service for you and your pet.   

If your pet is diagnosed with cancer, we know it can be a very distressing time. Our aim is to offer expertise and understanding to allow the best possible decisions to be made for your pet. We will discuss at length the diagnostic and treatment options that are appropriate for your dog or cat. 

Our Oncology service is led by Sara Gould, BVetMEd DSAM FRCVS assisted by Chris Maunder BVM&S CertSAM, DipECVIM-CA FRCVS and supported by a team of residents and interns. Our highly skilled oncology nurses, led by head oncology nurse Yolanda Bradley RVN, aim to ensure every visit is efficient and re-assuring, with lots of cuddles and treats on hand if needed. Where possible patients are treated on an outpatient basis when receiving regular chemotherapy.

We are happy to undertake teleconsults if helpful, to discuss your pet's diagnosis and offer compassionate care as a priority. Face to face consultations will give you time to ask any questions you may have to ensure we have the best plan possible in place for your pet.   

Cancer treatments may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, palliative drug therapy, immunotherapy, metronomic chemotherapy, or a combination of these.   

The aim of any treatment is to improve and maintain the best possible quality of life for your pet during a difficult time. Continuity is important and we hope if we see your pet on a regular basis that familiar faces will reassure at each and every visit.
