    Zoe has worked in a local practice since 2008 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012. She finally took the plunge to referral nursing in 2020 which has seen her join the Langford Team. She has interests in all aspect of patient care and loves to know she is making a difference and helping patients to recover.

    Ashleigh graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Sciences and joined the Langford Small Animal Referral Hospital as Surgery and Neurology Ward Nurse in 2014. She enjoys spending time bonding with patients to be better able to treat them as individuals and encourage their recovery. She studied for the BSAVA Surgical Nursing Merit (2018) and then the Nurses Certificate in Surgical Nursing (2019) and has developed a strong interest in improving patient care within the hospital.

    In 2018 she went on to become a Core Surgery Nurse providing more dedicated support to both the Surgical Ward and more specifically to the Soft Tissue service. This included being involved in helping to develop and run the BOAS Clinic, offering valuable support to owners and their pets.

    Zoë began working in a small animal practice in 2005 and later qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008 with merit.

    After gaining several years’ experience in a first opinion practice, Zoë went on to work at a busy referral veterinary hospital in Bristol. Here she developed her nursing skills in both medical and surgical cases and emergency and critical care.

    In 2012, Zoë took on the role of head nurse in a small animal practice which involved management and training of a small nursing team. Here, she also completed a physiotherapy course and introduced physiotherapy clinics for both cats and dogs.

    Zoë joined us as part of the Feline Centre in July 2015 and has since completed the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing, which she passed with distinction. In 2018, Zoë took on the role of Radioiodine Nurse, helping with various aspects of our radioactive iodine service and has undergone training to become one of our Radiation Protection Supervisors. Zoë is very passionate about treating our hyperthyroid patients and helps care for them before, during and after their radioiodine treatments.

    Before joining our surgical nursing team in 2003, Hayley worked at local practice in Weston-super-Mare where she gained her Veterinary Nursing and D32/33 assessor qualifications. In 2006, she gained a Diploma in advanced surgical nursing. In
    Hayley is a RCVS examiner and her role involves teaching the Veterinary undergraduates and Student Veterinary Nurses.
    In 2015 Hayley became a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Surgery.
    Hayley’s interests outside of the theatre are dog grooming and horse riding.
