Tom has been at Langford Vets since 2010, initially running the neurology referral department on his own but now part of a growing team of senior neurologists, residents in training and one full time neurology nurse catering to one of the busiest referral departments in the UK.
He is primarily responsible for seeing and supervising cases referred to the hospital but also spends time teaching the residents and final year students on rotation, as well as being one of the examiners for the European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology.
Tom has a keen interest in clinical research, particularly into diseases commonly seen at Langford Vets, including non-infectious meningitis and encephalitis, as well as spinal cord injury and neuromuscular disorders.In 2020 Tom was awarded a fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for meritorious contributions to clinical practice.

Bethan graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2015 and after graduation spent 2 years working at a busy veterinary hospital in South Wales. In 2017, Bethan completed a rotating small animal internship at Langford Vets and obtained her post-graduate diploma.
Bethan completed her residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery with Langford Vets in 2021 and has since re-joined Langford Vets after gaining EBVS specialist status in 2023 as a senior clinician in Neurology.
Bethan’s interests include all aspects of neurology and neurosurgery with a particular interest in inflammatory and infectious neurological diseases.

Following graduation, he spent four years in a busy small animal hospital in South Wales where he completed the RCVS post graduate certificate in small animal medicine. In July 2018 Richard undertook a 1-year rotating internship at Langford Vets Referrals, and returned to join the Neurology team in July 2020 as a Resident in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Outside of work Stephanie enjoys writing for nursing journals, sharing her knowledge and experience. She also has a horse called Sprite who she enjoys competing on (mostly jumping), and enjoying the South Bristol countryside.
